About Brad

A graduate of Duke University School of Law, Brad Grounds has 14 years of experience as an attorney. He began his career as a corporate associate in the Houston offices of Baker Botts L.L.P., an international law firm. Brad Grounds later worked at Latham & Watkins LLP, where he served as a corporate associate working on various transactional matters.

Following his approximately five-year stint as an associate at large law firms, Mr. Grounds became in-house counsel at JP Energy Partners LP, a publicly traded master limited partnership until its acquisition in early 2017. JP Energy focused on the gathering, storage, terminaling and movement of crude oil, refined products and natural gas liquids (propane) from production in key basins to consumer end markets. JP Energy operated through two affiliated companies – JP Energy Partners LP (formerly NYSE: JPEP) and JP Energy Development LP.

Some "Stuff" Brad Built

Backyard fort

I built this for my kids. Since the time of the video, I have stained it a mahogany color.

Closet remodel

This was a COVID project. When the world shut down, I went to work! I'm proud (and shocked) to say that I built this whole thing myself, including the LED lighting.

Interests

In addition to being an attorney, Brad also likes to make backyard forts, do home remodeling, program using computer vision and tensorflow, and, at one time, write.
